The Reef-World Foundation
Global leaders in protecting coral reefs through sustainable marine tourism
PARTNERSHIP OVERVIEW
Together, ATTA and The Reef-World Foundation are working to transform marine tourism, protect coral reefs, and inspire more sustainable adventures worldwide.
For over 20 years, The Reef-World Foundation has been a leader in marine conservation, working with communities, businesses, and governments to protect coral reefs by promoting sustainable marine tourism. Reef-World empowers people worldwide to conserve coastal resources and make the marine tourism industry a force for good that benefits the local communities, visitors and future generations.
Their flagship programme, Green Fins, implemented globally in partnership with the UN Environment Programme, provides the only internationally recognised environmental standards for the diving and snorkelling industry. By offering marine tourism operators practical, low-cost alternatives to harmful practices, the programme empowers the industry and coastal communities to reduce threats to coral reefs.
Marine tourism operators can join Green Fins to become part of a global community dedicated to sustainability and gain the support they need to protect coral reefs.
GREEN FINS E-COURSES
To build knowledge and capacity across the industry on how to prevent diving-related damage to coral reefs, Reef-World offers two Green Fins online training courses following the highest environmental standards set out by the Green Fins programme. These are accessible worldwide:

Green Fins Dive Guide e-Course
For dive professionals

Green Fins Diver e-Course
For recreational divers
Both courses are self-paced, modular, and packed with practical guidance to help divers and dive professionals protect coral reefs on every trip.
